      Joining the Jedi:

As an initiate in the Jedi order, each youngling is brought to Tython willingly as a start to their path. (It is important to note that Jedi will not take a Force Sensitive against their will ever) Upon arriving at Tython all possessions will be confiscated and sent home since personal possessions are an attachment and distraction. At Tython, the younglings will receive a basic education in the history of the Order, speaking, reading and writing in Basic, mathematics and sciences. They will also learn protocol. Once younglings learn all of these things and can show proper behavior, you will be named an initiate and sent to an enclave for further training.

      At Anaxes:

An initiate’s main job is to learn to be a Jedi. As such students will attend several classes a day to learn to use and connect with the Force, meditation and chores. Much of their time is regulated so they will focus on the Force and have limited time to get in trouble.

Initiates have all of their needs met. They are housed in a barracks and have a small foot locker to hold their issued equipment. There is also a cafeteria that serves the food of all the species at the Order. Food is considered nutritious, and not extravagant due to the simple life of the Order.

Initiates will not have access to alcohol, smoking or drugs in the normal course of their day.

Note: While this is all off screen, it is understood that this is part of an initiate’s growth into a Padawan.

      Service Corps members:

An often forgotten part of the Jedi Order is the Service Corps. While Force Sensitive, these members have chosen to serve the Order as a Service Corps member for a variety of reasons. Service Corps members handle many of the needs that we see off screen such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, managing food supplies, logistics, farming, and transporting people. In our case, Service Corps members are off screen or NPCs

Equipment that is issued to all Jedi:

      Food Capsules

Food capsules come in multiple flavors and are considered an efficient way to keep the Jedi or others properly energized for missions. Each Jedi is expected to take 4 food capsules for field missions that can be conveniently clipped to their belt. Food capsules are also available to meet the dietary needs of a plethora of species

      Canteen

Water is a very important thing for any Jedi in the field. A canteen will be provided to each Jedi  to keep from getting dehydrated. It is expected that if the Jedi is in a particularly arid climate they will bring multiple canteens.

      Glow Rod

Self-explanatory. A glow rod is a small, hand-held light source for times when a lightsaber may be too telling or may intimidate unintentionally.

      Rebreather

For use either underwater, in nominally toxic atmospheres, or during gas attacks. The oxygen supply provided can last up to two hours.

      Grappling Hook

Useful for both climbing and repelling. Point and fire, then utilize the mechanism that recoils the cable to assist with climbing. Fasten securely then use the mechanism to control descent. The grappling hook can hold up to three times the Jedi’s weight and is about 30 meters long.

      Comm Link

A standard issue comm link has all the relevant encrypted channels for the Enclave for ease of communication within the Initiative. Also contains an emergency transceiver for use in emergencies where other communication methods are unavailable.

      Datapad

This is the main data device for Jedi. They can take notes, record video, take pictures, read stored files or books, send communications, use as a slicing port or control electrical systems. The possibilities are endless.

      Issued Uniform

Every Jedi has a small stipend to pay for robes or armor. In the case of initiates, they are given 2 uniform sets, partially as a signal of their station. Laundry is completed by the Service corps so the Jedi always has clean clothing.
