Our enclave

Our Jedi Enclave is on the planet of Anaxes – a Green Ecumenopolis in the Galactic Core. It is positioned a mere three systems away from Coruscant and also the bastion that protects any assaults to the Core Worlds that come from the Perliminean Trade Route. The Anaxes system is the anchorage of the main Republic Fleet, making it a deterrent from any attacks coming on that route. Additionally, there is a notable military Fort and Academy on the planet proper which adds to the defensive capabilities should the system fall under siege. Conversely, Anaxes is three systems away from the Hydian Way and allows access to the Outer Rim Worlds. This is the primary path that The Anaxes Initiative’s Forces take to their assigned sectors. Since Anaxes is so well fortified and is within close proximity to these routes, it was chosen as the staging ground for The Anaxes Initiative.

About the planet

The planet of Anaxes itself is similar to Coruscant as mostly covered by urban development. However, Anaxes is also a Green Ecumenopolis – while the majority of the planet is covered by a city, there is a bit of nature still present and flourishing on its surface. 

The Enclave grounds

The Temple grounds themselves are located on one of the mountain ranges of Anaxes. Our grounds extend for several square miles, but most of it has remained untouched. Over the years of development, there have been many trails leading out into the wilderness that Jedi utilize for physical training, or as a quiet place to meditate or have a class. There is a wall around the entirety of the grounds to keep unwanted guests out. Temple security is maintained by the Wardens and overseen by the First Warden, with the Guardian’s base of operations attached to the wall, known as The Bastion.

Being atop a mountain range, the weather is quite unpredictable and constantly changes. During the summer months, temperatures range from 10-15 degrees C, and the winter months are always below freezing. Despite the time of year, there is always a notable breeze that can either be pleasant or be a rather nasty gust of wind.

The Anaxes Initiative jurisdiction and mandate

Because of the short tenure and small numbers of the Jedi Enclave, the Anaxes Enclave primarily focuses on maintaining peace and security in the Ojoster, Waneen, Meerian, Belsmuth, and Quelii Sectors. However, the Jedi Enclave is only half of the Initiative’s Forces. The other half is made up of the 7th Expeditionary Battalion which is designed to handle many tasks. Equipped with Infantry, Medics, Engineers, Intelligence Officers, and Armor, this group of the Republic Military can adapt to any situation thrown at them. While some soldiers may be seen around the Temple on business, most of them are stationed on their ship, The Retribution. Jedi from Anaxes are able to assist other worlds, though the Enclave’s Council primarily focuses its efforts on the assigned sectors from the High Jedi Council.

To facilitate operations in the aforementioned sector, The Anaxes Battle Group of the Republic Navy provides support with a small fleet. They operate as part of the Anaxes Task Force and provide air superiority whenever it is necessary. Since the Task Force is still young, the Fleet Admiral only commands six ships, though that may change should they Prove themselves. The fleet currently comprises one Command-Class Battleship, two Valor-Class Carriers, and three Thranta-Class Corvettes.
